The worldwide opening of the virtual Jerry Garcia Archive Museum showcasing art, photos, interviews and music will be celebrated in the Neverworld Metaverse.
SAN FRANCISCO, June 5, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Guests from around the world are invited to join the friends and family of Jerry Garcia on June 7, 2023, in the Neverworld Metaverse, an online open simulator metaverse, to celebrate the opening of the virtual Jerry Garcia Archive Museum. Visitors can create unique avatars on the Neverworld Grid before embarking on a tour of archival content featuring Jerry's fine art, collections of rare photos and interview recordings. The event will culminate with a free concert featuring Rainbow Full of Sound, jazz artist Tony Saunders and sound poet Jair-Rohm Parker Wells.
The Jerry Garcia Foundation established the official Jerry Garcia Archive as a vehicle to educate and inspire the greater community. The online resource provides a digital library of historical information about the beloved virtuoso.
The public can now experience the online Jerry Garcia Archive Museum as Neverworld creator and digital artist Govega Sachertorte and Thirza Ember of the Hypergrid Safari Tours offer an inaugural docent tour of the museum and adjacent Art Garden.
Jerry Garcia archivist Peter Agelasto will make a special live presentation on the virtual stage built by digital artist Nexus Storm in Neverworld. Guests will also receive an airdrop of unique gifts designed by Nexus Storm; Jerry's youngest daughter, Keelin Garcia; and his wife, Manasha Garcia.

We're grateful to the extremely talented Govega Sachertorte and to the Neverworld Grid team of brilliant digital artists for bringing this project to fruition. Colleen Rudolf is a multi-media artist, with experience in sculpture, drawing, painting and photography. Born 1981 in New York City, Colleen later earned her undergraduate degree in liberal studies from Skidmore College in 2003 with departmental honors in Fine Art. In 2008, with the goal of refining her technical skills and earning credentials to teach art, she obtained her graduate degree from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. During her time there she was awarded the Fellowship Juried Prize honorable mention and the Justine Cretella Memorial Scholarship. She currently works out of her studio in Philadelphia doing a variety of activities, including but not limited to: creating 2d and 3d portraits for private clients, designing and executing large scale drawings and sculptures of wildlife, employing fabrication techniques including woodworking and metalworking as well as teaching private art lessons and for the art department Rowan College at Burlington County, NJ. Her work is installed privately and publicly throughout the region and she has worked with several organizations to raise awareness and funding for wildlife conservation efforts. In 2016 she became a recipient of the Don and Virginia Eckleberry Endowment. Rudolf believes strongly that the arts are integral to our well being and has dedicated her life to celebrating, honoring and supporting the creative act.

The music revolution was a vital and integral component of the sixties San Francisco art scene. Herb Greene photographed the rock musicians and other members of San Francisco’s cultural milieu during the height of its creative productivity. Greene, a friend of many of San Francisco’s most influential musicians, worked as few photographers have: not as a documenter from the outside, but as a participant within the music scene he was photographing.
Many of his photographs have become signature portraits of these musicians. His revealing portraits of The Jefferson Airplane, Jeff Beck, The Pointer Sisters, The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, Carlos Santana, Sly Stone, Rod Stewart and many others helped create astonishing family album for an entire generation.
